MTSS: Find Your Focus

Turn the Six Habits of High-Impact MTSS into a clear, prioritized path your team can begin acting on right away.

AUGUST 31 •  7:00 - 8:30 PM ET
ONLINE & FREE! • REPLAY AVAILABLE

Save My Seat

Join the founders of MTSS Innovations and the MTSS Collective to learn the Six Habits of High-Impact MTSS and how to activate them to identify what’s working, uncover what may be holding your system back, and decide where your team should focus next.

You’re ready to make
meaningful progress with MTSS.

You want your leadership teams to work effectively, your data meetings to end with clear decisions, and your staff to understand where the school is going and how their work fits into the plan.

Most of all, you want students to receive the right support now instead of spending another year waiting for the system to catch up to their needs.

But MTSS is enormous.

It can feel impossible to know where to begin.

When leadership, data, instruction, teaming, problem-solving, scheduling, and tiered supports all need attention, every issue feels urgent.

This year, commit to intentional, focused, and measured action instead of trying to do everything at once.

Join us on August 31st to FIND YOUR MTSS FOCUS and identify the priority that will create the movement you want in your system.

(Can’t make it live? We'll send a replay.)

HELP ME FIND ME FOCUS

Your school may have every piece of MTSS
but still struggle to make those
pieces work together.

A team can collect high-quality data without having a reliable process for acting on it.

A school can offer strong interventions without a schedule that allows students to receive them.

A committed leader can build an ambitious plan without the district infrastructure or staff engagement needed to sustain it.

“Do we have this?” isn’t a strong enough question to move MTSS forward.

You also need to ask:

Is it working?
Is it connected to the rest of our system?
Is it helping us make better decisions for students?

The Six Habits of High-Impact MTSS we’ll share during MTSS: FIND YOUR FOCUS give you a way to answer those questions and determine what deserves your attention first.

Find the gap that matters most.

During MTSS: FIND YOUR FOCUS, the MTSS Collective team will guide you through the Six Habits of High-Impact MTSS and help you examine how they show up in your school or system.

Together, we'll explore:

  • The six habits that support effective MTSS implementation and how they work together to create a coordinated system of support.

  • The common red flags associated with each habit, so you can recognize when an implementation issue is about more than staff effort or motivation.

  • How to assess your current strengths and gaps without turning the process into another overwhelming evaluation exercise.

  • Why strong individual components can still produce disappointing results when leadership, instruction, data, teaming, problem-solving, and tiered supports remain disconnected.

  • How to distinguish an urgent problem from the right priority, so your team’s limited time and energy go toward the work most likely to move implementation forward.

  • What school-level leaders need to consider about district infrastructure, especially when roles, schedules, communication, or system-level support are unclear.

  • How to protect staff trust after a previous false start, so “We already tried that” doesn’t become the final word on your MTSS efforts.

  • How to turn your identified priority into a realistic next step your team can begin carrying forward this school year.

You’ll leave with a clearer picture of where your MTSS implementation stands, where it needs support, and what your most useful next move could be.

When everything feels important, clarity about what matters first can change the direction of the entire year.

Yes, I want that clarity!

Meet the MTSS Collective Team

For more than 30 years, the team behind MTSS Innovations has helped educational leaders across state, district, and school systems build sustainable multi-tiered system of supports that work for students and the adults serving them.

The MTSS Collective grew from the long-running Innovations in Education Conference after its founders recognized that meaningful implementation requires more than a single professional development event. Educators need credible guidance, practical resources, expert support, and trusted peers beside them throughout the work.

Our goal is to help you turn research-backed MTSS practices into coordinated, sustainable systems that produce measurable results for students.

The MTSS Innovations Committee brings expertise from every level of the education system:

Dr. Dawn Miller specializes in designing inclusive, equity-based MTSS systems at the state and district levels.

Dr. Judy Elliott brings nationally recognized expertise in systems change, instructional leadership, and data-based decision-making from her work in some of the country’s largest school districts.

Dr. Margaret McGlinchey has spent her career helping schools and districts build practical, sustainable MTSS systems, including leading statewide training and coaching across more than 600 schools.

Dr. Pamela Radford specializes in data-based decision-making, continuous improvement, and coaching systems that strengthen MTSS implementation at scale.

Dr. Stephanie Stollar helps educators use MTSS and evidence-based literacy practices to make high reading achievement possible for every student.

If you’re an educator, school administrator, district leader, or any kind of MTSS implementer who:

  • Wants to make meaningful MTSS progress but needs clarity about where to focus first
  • Has several pieces of MTSS in place but wants them to function as one coordinated system
  • Wants a realistic implementation path grounded in evidence and shaped by decades of practical experience
  • There’s no better way to get focused than joining us for MTSS: FIND YOUR FOCUS on August 31st.

We’ll help you determine which of the Six Habits needs your attention first and prioritize the work ahead so your team can begin taking focused action this school year.

And if you can’t make it out live, register anyway, and we’ll send you a replay.

Let’s take this year beyond
good intentions and scattered action.

Whether your MTSS implementation is brand new or in motion, this webinar will help you strengthen your system to translate all your effort into better support for students.

MTSS: Find Your Focus is for you if...

✓ You’re responsible for supporting MTSS at the school or district level and feel the weight of everything that needs attention.

âś“ Your team is collecting data and holding meetings, but the next decision is not always clear.
